About Remembering the Brave Foundation
The Remembering the Brave Foundation is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to preserving the memories of our brave service members who have made the ultimate sacrifice, and honoring their families in their time of enormous loss.
Losing a loved one to combat half the world away must be the most devastating thing a mother, father, or spouse could possibly endure. Our responsibilities as citizens of this country require us to lend assistance where we can. In some small way, that is what the organization tries to do.
Remember the Brave has its beginnings with a mother and the Marine that came to notify her of her son's heroic actions. Together, they decided that it was their mission to create a purposeful organization dedicated to the presentation of military and civilian awards within an atmosphere of healing, where the families and active duty service members who served with their sons or daughters could come together, comfort each other, and honor the memories of their loved ones.

Additonal Information and Logistics
Our gracious donors have taken care of your meals but we need your reservation, seating desires, and some other important information to prepare for this special evening with you as we honor you and your loved ones and express our deep gratitude for our American Heroes.
We want to bring a service member to the ceremony who served with your loved one so they can be there with you on this special evening. We need to discuss this with you well in advance to try to arrange flights.
We will have bonded childcare available for our Gold Star families at the hotel. We need to know the number of children by 10 October.
We will be producing a number of special gifts for you so we will need to work closely with you to make sure they are perfect.
Your guests pay for their meals at $75.00 a plate and we will need to know their names so we can ensure they are seated with you at your table, so they too need to call and make reservations. The tables will seat 10 people each so invite as many as you would like and let us know if you need more tables.
Please give us a call or send us an email by October 10th to make sure we have all the information we need for the ceremony in order to make your night as special as possible and so we are prepared for you and your guests’ arrival.
We have a limited number of rooms available for our Gold Star families so call early so we can make sure you are taken care of.
Questions or concerns? Just call and we can tell you more about this special evening. Leave a message and we will get back to you if we’re away from the phone. We have other Gold Star families that we can put you in touch with to tell you about our organization and the “Remembering the Brave” ceremony.
